Amirreza Tabataba Vakili

Biography
Engineer Tabataba is a Ph.D. candidate at Kyoto University, Graduate School of Engineering. His research focuses on hydro-climatology, extreme precipitation analysis, and the influence of large-scale ocean–atmosphere teleconnections on extreme rainfall over southern Japan. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (2015–2019) and Master’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering (2019–2022) from the University of Tabriz, Iran, where he also served as a Research Assistant at the Center of Excellence in Hydro-Informatics. In 2024, he was awarded the MEXT Scholarship to pursue his doctoral studies in Japan. He is also a registered member of the East Azerbaijan Province Construction Engineering Organization (EAPCEO).
